背景介绍
Luke Gibson，新加坡国立大学博士。加入南方科技大学之前，曾任香港大学生物系研究助理教授。他的研究工作主要在中国和东南亚的热带雨林中开展，关注生物多样性如何受农业用地扩张、森林退化、野生动物非法交易等因素的影响，以及物种在人类干预环境下生存乃至蓬勃发展。他曾在Science和Nature等世界顶级刊物发表多篇学术论文，他的研究得到了纽约时报、英国广播公司和其它国际媒体的广泛关注。曾获香港大学王庚武奖以及世界未来基金会环境与可持续研究博士生奖等奖项。
